6:25am

I remember as a kid following my father around everywhere he went. This would lead me to some interesting places in life. I owe a lot to my dad, from sitting with him at church while he ran the sound system letting me ask tons and tons of questions about what he was doing and how to plug in a microphone. Asking him to let me check the microphones before anyone got there was one of my highlights as kid on the weekends. Also letting me use his guitar to figure out what the heck I was doing, and always telling me it sounded great and I needed to keep playing. I can honestly say that if it weren't for my dad, I don't think I would be doing what I do now. 25 years after I was born, his walk is a little slower, his hair a bit more grey, his bed time a bit more earlier, but the love he has for me is just as strong as back then. This year its hit me what unconditional love really is, we hear about it all the time and sometimes even see glimpses of it. Lately through my parents I have seen it, felt it, and I am learning how to show it. They are the few people that have stuck by my side no matter what mistake or life lesson I am going through. Some of my best memories with my father are he and I talking about what or how " I am going to learn from this." I have made mistakes in my life and at times done more bad than good, but its because my father that lately I have been able to stand face to face with who I am and who I want to be.

This Saturday is the North American Brew Fest at Overlook Park , and I could not be more excited about it! It is something that I have looking forward to playing for such a long time now. I have been a bit nervous about this show, but the closer and closer it gets I feel ready. It will be an honor to have my father there, and hopefully he will see all the hard work he and my mother put into my life, is slowly but surely paying off. Also, I will be on A.M. Northwest this Thursday June 24th on Channel 2 (Katu) playing a bit of a teaser for the Brew Fest, I Hope you can tune in its always a blast every time I go there. I am very thankful for everything at this moment, and I know the work will keep getting harder both musically and personally. I hope you guys will be there for the ride and I hope to see all of you this Saturday and many many many more Saturdays to come.
